The war with Ethiopia for motives for border (1998. 2000) has put in knee an already poor country, one of the worse ones of the world.
It is the ex Italian colony that more preserve Italian characters, above all to Asmara. The climate, moderate in the inside plateau, it is warm on the coast, that however it is wet from a very beautiful sea, almost entirely studded by numerous entire islands.
